Innovative Therapy Concepts (ITC) is a Physical Therapist owned and operated Therapy management organization that was founded by Joe Sapp, PT in 2006. We began our partnership with Northside Gwinnett in 2013 to provide therapy services throughout the Northside Gwinnett system. ITC is searching for a Physical
Therapist with a passion for providing excellent patient experiences in the outpatient setting. This position is centered around non-surgical and post-surgical orthopedic patients. The onsite team has a fun collaborative environment working closely with a multidisciplinary team including Neuromuscular Specialty Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Lymphedema Specialist and Pelvic Floor Therapy. All services provided in a state-of-the-art facility with new exercise equipment to aid in providing the highest level of care to the diverse population of Gwinnett County.

Responsibilities

  1. Appropriately assesses and examines patients with varying diagnoses according to PT scope of practice.
  2. Treats patient within the PT scope of practice.
  3. Teaches patients how to use and care for orthotic, prosthetic devices, and other assistive apparati.
  4. Provides education to patients, caregivers and associates regarding PT interventions, safety, community resources and outcomes.
  5. Recommends appropriate adaptive equipment for ambulation and functional mobility.
  6. Coordinates and leads groups.
  7. Attends and participates in care planning meetings as assigned.
  8. Communicates and collaborates with all customers and interdisciplinary team members.
  9. Maintains gym area and equipment.
  10. Contributes to profits and revenues including marketing and productivity.
  11. Participates in budget development and cost saving efforts.
  12. Serves on performance improvement teams.
  13. Participates in community services.
  14. Supervises treatment and documentation of the physical therapy assistant.
  15. Delegates treatment tasks to PTAs and aides in accordance with PT state practice guidelines.
  16. Provides care and documentation in accordance with regulatory, legal, and reimbursement guidelines.
  17. Accepts responsibility for own growth and development through inservices, required programs and continuing education.
  18. Complies with all established hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  19. Maintains CPR certification.
  20. Assumes responsibility for completing all assignments and tasks in a timely and cost efficient manner.
