Innovative Therapy Concepts is a Physical Therapist owned and operated Therapy management organization that was founded by Joe Sapp, PT in 2006. We began our partnership with Northside Gwinnett in 2013 to provide therapy services throughout the Northside Gwinnett system.
Innovative Therapy Concepts is searching for a Registered Nurse to work in our Cardiopulmonary Rehab Department. A minimum of twelve months of experience with the treatment of cardiovascular patients is necessary. The Cardiac Rehab RN specializes in the care and management of pre and post-cardiac care of adult and geriatric patients; provides rehabilitative care, education, and psychosocial support to patients; and acts as a resource for nursing personnel. The Cardiac Rehab RN will work both in the acute and outpatient settings providing care to Cardiac patients receiving Phase 1, 2 and 3 Rehabilitation. Other important qualities we are searching for are teamwork, excellent communication, ability to multi-task and flexibility.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates competency in clinical practice; consistently utilizes the nursing process to identify normal and abnormal findings and changes from baseline.
  2. Provides safe, competent patient care; is knowledgeable of current policies and procedures that impact the specific patient population.
  3. Knowledgeable of pathophysiologic states common to the unit/service patient population.
  4. Effectively communicates with peers, colleagues, providers and others regarding patient condition and subsequent changes.
  5. Independently implements the nursing process for patients and families; learns and utilizes unit- and service-wide evidence-based practice resources for clinical practice.
  6. Utilizes patient care and organizational technology specific to the unit, patient population and/or care setting is safely accomplished.
  7. Successfully interfaces/operates the organization’s computerized information systems; continuously develops personal practice competencies, skills and knowledge.
  8. Delegates care as appropriate.
  9. Serves as a preceptor for new staff members and students as needed.
  10. Creates personal goals for lifelong learning and professional growth.
  11. Conducts self-assessment of performance and discusses with leadership.

Technical Competencies:
